                                     Gaspar Grandee

On the island of Gaspar Grandee, off the southern coast of the northern peninsular of Trinidad in the development known as Fantasy Island.

An almost round house (but actually 12 sided ) built from Greenheart timber around a central pillar with fantastic views of the sea and the incredible variety of marine like that passes by.

Comprising of 2 bed rooms with ensuite shower rooms, large living room with a fully equipped kitchen to one side and balcony out through glass sliding panels to the front spanning 3 sides.

“Downstairs” has another shower room and toilet and  a top loading washing machine. Mostly open it is a brilliant place to barbeque and chill in the afternoons. To one side is a small storage room which also accommodates a 7kw Honda generator.

There are 4,000 gallon water storage tanks.

The gardens are planted with jasmins, hibiscus and various plants and creepers to attract the humming birds and other animals indigenous to the island.

Originally built with the view to timeshares but never coming to fruition, the houses in Fantasy Island have gradually been purchased by private individuals for many simply as a second home, a house “down de islands”.

The marina accommodates boats that taxi to and from the mainland and the house is a short walk from there.

The house has been a family home for 8 years and is left fully furnished including calor gas  cooker and fridge/freezer in the kitchen. Dining table and chairs in the living room TV, rocking chair and bamboo circular chair, three, two and one seater teak suite. Super king size bed and a single bed – both bedrooms have built in storage cupboards.
